John Howard's Statue
Thought I'd post this sketch that I did on a drawing walk around Bedford. It was a lovely day spent in the town centre with a group of other local artists and a guide from the tourist information office. Ilove history and found it fascinating to learn more about the place.
This is a corner of the base of John Howards Statue in the square.
John Howard was a prison reformer and these cherubs peering through a devilish art nouveau mask make up a face and reflect some of Howard's believes that there is good found in everyone.
By Sir Alfred Gilbert who designed Eros, Piccadilly Circus, it is so beautiful! I've been pass it dozens of times and never noticed the cherubs!

Little Rabbit Toy
Well here is Little Rabbit! I had some furry fabric from an old coat that I'd stashed away, that would have been perfect! But alas could not find it! So had to make do with this fluffier one as my daughter Velvette couldn't wait until I had foraged around for something similar.

The high flying Figaro!
New illustration that I might use as a greeting card cos he is quite sweet in my humble opinion. You just can't keep this little fella off of the swings at the park, he'd be there all day if you let him!
